  • We have an exciting opportunity within our Visual Design/ Marketing Team as Visual Design Coordinator.
  • This role is supporting the Visual Design and Merchandising Supervisor to plan, create, execute, and maintain our windows and high-level visual displays in Store.
  • We want to achieve one coherent ‘look and feel’ throughout all marketing avenues and ensure that we keep to a consistent high standard, in keeping with the Ballantynes Brand. It’s important that we create window displays that are inviting, fresh and contemporary for our customers and brands that we are showcasing.

Key Responsibilities

  • To design, develop and implement high level display plans for windows and instore campaigns across all Ballantynes stores.
  • To create and maintain high level promotional signage in keeping with Ballantynes Brand Standards.
  • To assist in the planning and execution of internal & external promotions and events.
  • Develop productive relationships through clear and effective communication in relation to display undertakings and requirements.

Skills and Requirements

  • A passion for design and visual merchandising.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Visual Merchandising or relevant creative position would be desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and or similar programs.
  • Self-motivated and organised.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and manage tasks effectively.
  • An interest in keeping up to date with current and future retail trends.
  • Full NZ drivers' licence would be desirable.
  • Willingness to travel to Timaru and Invercargill with occasional overnight trips.
  • You’re able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure whilst remaining professional.
  • Additional Information
  • This is a permanent, full time role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
