We’re looking for a Trainee Line Mechanic to join our Energy & Utilities team based in Paeroa . Working alongside experienced Line Mechanics, you’ll learn the skills required to become a qualified Distribution Line Mechanic while earning, training, and gaining real hands-on experience in the field.
This is a physically active, outdoor role where no two days are the same. You’ll work across different sites, operate plant and equipment, and develop the technical and safety skills needed to succeed in the electricity distribution industry.

You’ll bring:
- A Class 1 manual driver’s licence
- Learner Class 2 highly regarded
- A strong commitment to safety and working the right way
- The attitude to learn, listen, and put in the work
- Physical fitness and comfort working outdoors in all conditions
- Good communication skills and reliability
- An interest in the electrical or power industry
