- Supervise temporary traffic management on various worksites across the district, in line with current codes of practice and NZGTTM.
- Assist with transitioning to the NZGTTM, risk-based traffic management approach.
- Supervise multiple traffic management crews, including both internal teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure Traffic Management site setups meet client requirements, programs and schedules inclusive of Safety, Quality, and Environmental components.
- Train and develop Timaru Traffic Management staff to effectively deliver temporary traffic management solutions.

We’re looking for someone with:
- Relevant STMS qualification.
- Full Class 1 drivers’ licence (Class 2 beneficial).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in traffic management.
- A proactive approach to health and safety – it’s our #1 priority!
- Outstanding leadership skills, with proven experience supervising and leading others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to develop positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- General computer literacy and competent user of MS Office suite.
