About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and capable Store Manager to lead both retail operations and our new Food to Go (kitchen) offering. This role is responsible for delivering strong financial performance, outstanding customer service, and high operational standards across the entire store, including the kitchen. You will work closely with the Owner Operator to successfully grow both sides of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Store Standards

  • Maintain high standards of store and kitchen presentation, cleanliness, and service
  • Manage customer enquiries and complaints professionally across retail and Food to Go

Retail Operations & Inventory

  • Oversee ordering, stock control, stocktaking, and supplier compliance for all retail departments
  • Ensure accurate pricing, strong stock turn.
  • Implement Foodstuffs promotional and pricing programmes

Food to Go / Kitchen Management

  • Manage day-to-day Food to Go operations, including menu execution and product availability
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • Manage kitchen ordering, stock control, waste, and cost management
  • Train, roster, and supervise kitchen team members
  • Monitor Food to Go sales, margins, and wage costs to meet business targets

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Monitor sales, gross profit, food cost, and wages across retail and Food to Go
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales and improve margins
  • Control costs, manage waste, and ensure credits are processed correctly

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and support Department Managers, retail staff, and kitchen team members
  • Assist with recruitment, training, performance management, and roster control
  • Build a positive, accountable, and customer-focused team culture

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and legislative requirements across the store and kitchen
  • Maintain incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions

Qualifications / Experience Required

Either a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Commerce, Business, Management,

OR , Relevant supermarket management experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 – $32.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Work Location: In person
