- As a Channel Partner Development Manager (PDM), you will manage a portfolio of New Zealand based channel partners to accelerate Microsoft Cloud adoption and revenue. In this role, you will define joint strategies and value propositions to help partners grow their CSP business, enabling customer digital transformation and driving mutual success for partners and Microsoft.
- The Channel PDM is responsible for partner engagement, business planning, and execution across programs and activation. You will lead efforts to build partner capabilities aligned with Microsoft’s priorities and ensure accountability for CSP revenue growth. Across Co-Build, Co-Market, and Co-Sell, the Channel PDM drives partner performance, customer acquisition, and consumption, creating strong partner preference for Microsoft’s cloud solutions.
- You will collaborate with teams across Microsoft (Sales, Marketing, Engineering) and with partners to deliver impactful programs and initiatives that accelerate growth
- Responsibilities
- Drive Strategic Partner Growth
- Lead multi‑year partner business plans aligned to Microsoft’s priorities and ANZ strategy.
- Grow cloud revenue, consumption, and partner-sourced pipeline across Microsoft Cloud, AI, Security, and Modern Work.
- Execute with excellence against ARR renewals, upsell/cross‑sell, and customer acquisition goals.
- Executive Partner Engagement
- Influence and collaborate with partner senior executives to align strategic priorities, investment decisions, and go‑to‑market execution.
- Serve as the partner’s voice within Microsoft, ensuring the right visibility, support, and resource allocation.
- Orchestrate Microsoft Teams for Impact
- Lead virtual teams across Sales, Tech Specialists, PMMs, Customer Success, and Engineering.
- Run governance rhythms (PODs, QBRs, pipeline reviews) with discipline and accountability.
- Accelerate AI & Cloud Practice Development
- Help partners build and scale modern practices across Azure, Security, Business Apps, Modern Work, and Copilot.
- Champion partners as “Customer Zero” for AI adoption, leveraging Microsoft’s full enablement ecosystem.
- Lead Renewal & Execution Motions
- Own CSP and Enterprise renewal strategy for your partners.
- Drive early engagement, T‑13 execution, risk mitigation, and upsell motions using data‑driven insights.
- Performance Management & Insights
- Inspect weekly performance across revenue, pipeline, certification, benefits utilisation, and customer impact metrics.
- Leverage analytics to identify opportunities, risks, and growth levers.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in partner/channel management, cloud sales, or business development.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders both internally and externally.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Cloud, digital transformation, and AI‑driven solutions.
- A mindset of disciplined execution, strategic thinking, and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Ability to orchestrate across cross‑functional teams and manage complex partner portfolios.
- Required Qualifications
- 10+ years extensive experience in channel partner management, business development, or sales.
- Proven success driving revenue growth through partner ecosystems.
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries and influence stakeholders.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud solutions (Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics).
- Knowledge of CSP programs and partner business models.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
- MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
