We are seeking refined and passionate Room Attendants to join the distinguished team at Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour.

Job Description
Our Ambassador will:
Clean and service guest rooms in line with Sofitel brand standards, including turndown service and deep cleaning as required
Maintain public areas, back-of-house spaces, staff facilities, balconies, carpets, and washrooms to impeccable standards
Ensure all housekeeping equipment, storerooms, and trolleys are clean, organised, and well maintained; assist with stocktakes
Handle laundry duties, linen deliveries, restocking of room items, and support with heavy lifting when required
Use cleaning agents correctly and safely in accordance with health and safety regulations
Report maintenance issues and defective equipment promptly
Assist guests courteously with requests, escalating where appropriate
Maintain strict security, key control, and guest confidentiality at all times
Support the wider Housekeeping team with room set-ups, extra beds, accessibility items, and general duties as required
Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in a luxury hotel or similar environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Good level of physical fitness. This role has physical demands of lifting and carrying and being on your feet.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures, and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Basic English language skills for communicating with guests and team members
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
