About

Teach in a centre where the ocean is just down the road, practice is thoughtful and relationships really shape the day. We are looking for a Registered Teacher to join Busy Bees Papamoa Beach and support tamariki to grow as confident, capable, lifelong learners. About us Busy Bees Papamoa Beach has three well defined spaces with a strong pedagogical focus. In Nest, our infant room, kaiako draw from Pikler, slowing down, reading each child’s cues and using care moments as rich, relational learning. In Hive, our toddler room, the focus is social and emotional competence, with kaiako coaching emotions, co-regulating and supporting toddlers to navigate big feelings and friendships. In Bumblebees, our preschool room, tamariki are treated as capable decision makers who lead their learning through play, inquiry and project work, with social competence, early literacy and numeracy woven through in meaningful ways. Across the centre, team conversations centre on Te Whāriki, observation and intentional planning, with our food programme, lunch box days and baking all part of the curriculum. As part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, you get solid systems and PLD, alongside the relaxed, beachside feel of Papamoa. About you: You are a registered ECE or Primary trained kaiako who brings warmth, observation skills and strong relationships to your teaching. You value respectful, unhurried care for infants, emotional coaching and co-regulation with toddlers, and agency, inquiry and social competence in the preschool years. You are confident planning and documenting through Te Whāriki, and you enjoy designing play based experiences that stretch thinking, language and working theories. You communicate clearly, work collaboratively and like being part of a team that talks about pedagogy and keeps growing together. Why you’ll love it here: Full Pay Parity! Discounted childcare First aid certification, annual flu vaccines and staff uniforms A generous PLD budget where you can choose your own learning focus Comprehensive induction, mentoring and coaching and ongoing opportunities for career growth and personal and professional development Be part of a team that is making a difference every day. If this role feels like the perfect fit, send us your CV and Cover Letter today! Please note: Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Why Work for Busy Bees? If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Join our whānau If you’re looking for a new centre to call home, Busy Bees Aotearoa may be the perfect fit for you! Early Childhood Education attracts a special type of person. We understand this because this is what attracted us too. We want to gather people who care deeply about quality and empower people to bring their unique gifts and talents together for the benefit of our tamariki. We value each member of our team, and know that by supporting you in your journey, you’ll be the positive and supportive influence in theirs.
