Join us as a Portables Operator in the Canterbury Region! We have and exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Operator to join our Quarries team in Christchurch. You will operate a portable crushing plant and other machinery to help deliver work for our customers safely, on time and to the highest quality standard. In addition to the above you will: Perform daily machine checks and monitor/maintain the portable crushing plant. Operate loaders and other machinery to load the crusher plant, stockpiling and occasionally load trucks. Interact with external and internal customers. We’re looking for someone with: Full Class 2 licence with WTR Endorsements. Previous experience operating heavy machinery e.g. loaders. Flexibility to work away from home as and when required. Strong mechanical aptitude. Experience in the mining or quarrying industry would be advantageous. A proactive approach to Health and Safety - it’s our #1 priority. A positive attitude and the ability to be a strong team player. Good interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work unsupervised.
