Thirty years ago, I emigrated from the Netherlands to New Zealand, where my husband and I built a life and business rooted in hard work, resilience, and community. When the dairy goat industry faced challenges after the pandemic, I realised that traditional paths no longer guaranteed freedom or fulfillment. Trading hours for income had replaced the independence I once valued. That moment sparked a change — and the start of Brightside Collective, my online venture dedicated to helping others rediscover choice, confidence, and self-leadership through personal development and digital entrepreneurship.
