  • Our Night Manager is a key role in ensuring all auditing processes are complete, guest security and safety is maintained, a great role for growing your management career whilst working in a supportive environment. This role would suit applicants who are keen to build their career within Front Office and grow their skills and experience in a great team.
  • This is a Full time job with 30 hours minimum hours and an hourly rate of $29.

  • Responsible for the night team.
  • Ensure a strong security presence is maintained throughout the entire shift
  • Responsible for the Front Office operations and guest satisfaction as well as for the financial results of the departments with a focus on controlling the expenses and ensuring maximum room revenues are achieved.
  • Perform night audit operations as per the hotel's accounting system and print night audit reports accordingly.
  • Should have an excellent level of commercial awareness, which can build and maintain relationships with internal and external guests. Also responsible for highlighting short/medium/long-term issues to the Rooms Division Manager and helping formulate solutions.
  • Manage Front Office Operations including rostering and maintaining the most cost-effective manner
  • Evaluate Guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well-managed schedules
  • Obtain maximum occupancy and average rate
  • Assist Front Desk during busy check-in and check-out to ensure guests are receiving the best possible services
  • NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
  • At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
  • Registration or licensing may be required.
  • A commitment to being a reliable member of the night team
  • Be able to work 10pm to 6.30am with a roster that covers seven days a week including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum of 1-years’ experience in the Hospitality and Tourism sector would be a huge advantage.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, on your own and as part of a team
  • Cash handling

  • Calm, efficient, and organized with great attention to detail
  • Conflict resolution experience
  • Liaising with and communicating all relevant information to the Front Office team and to other departments
  • Ensuring that all security procedures are followed in relation to cash, keys, guest & building security and privacy
  • Maintaining a consistently high standard of cleaning of both guest and staff areas.
