  • Job Description
  • In this role, you will be providing Facilities management and support to the North Island Distribution Centre. You will manage all Campus infrastructure, facilities, plants and grounds to required business and property owner standards within set budgets as well as managing a small team (10) on a day-to-day basis.

Other key responsibilities will include

  • Ensuring site compliance with all legal and business policies relating to H&S and Facilities
  • Day to day management of on-site and project-specific contractors, ensuring standards of compliance and execution are met
  • Implement and oversee security protocols to safeguard our facility, inventory, and personnel. Your experience will help maintain a secure environment through access control, surveillance, and incident response.
  • Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarms, promptly addressing any breaches or issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and enhance security measures, adapting strategies to evolving threats.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments, proposing and implementing improvements as necessary.
  • work effectively with the site leads to evaluate and prioritise their requirements
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate your team. Your guidance will be instrumental in creating a cohesive and efficient team environment.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for your team by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Manage contractor and internal spend within budget parameters
  • Evaluate cost and quality elements to optimise spend and reduce overall cost of ownership of equipment or assets
  • Management of all service contracts for the site in conjunction with operational functions
  • Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need to display proven experience in a Facilities or Property Management role and have strong experience in financial management, budgeting, stakeholder management and planning. You will also need

  • Sound working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and business best practice
  • Familiar with permit to work, working at heights and MHE (mobile heavy equipment) would be advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of security best practices, protocols, and technologies.
  • Strong contract management experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Effective internal relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • A high degree of organisation and a commitment to continuous learning.
