We’re looking for a highly skilled motion graphics and VFX editor to support our work at The Next Something. We create premium, cinematic content for startups and VCs across NZ, Australia, and Asia–Pac. Our videos often combine clean editing, stylised motion graphics, visual effects, and modern design-forward aesthetics. You should be confident taking creative direction and matching specific styles, looks, animations, transitions, and pacing. You should be comfortable with: Advanced motion graphics Visual effects and compositing Clean text animation, kinetic typography, logo builds Replicating animation styles, transitions, and design references Layered edits mixing footage, graphics, overlays, and screen elements Adding polish through VFX, camera shake, tracking, masking, rotoscoping Editing for modern brand content (fast-paced, social-optimised, design-led) Bonus if you: Have a strong design eye (layout, colour, type) Can work quickly across multiple directions Understand how to break down reference videos and rebuild them accurately Have experience with tech/startup/brand content You’ll be a great fit if you: Love motion design and constantly push your technical skills Take feedback well and adjust fast Can add unique ideas while still matching the style provided Enjoy working with clean, modern, digital-first visuals We’re fast-moving, clear with direction, and easy to collaborate with.
