Job Description


Our busy open pit maintenance workshop is on the hunt for a skilled specialist - Maintenance Planner. This role will be accountable for scheduling short term operational maintenance activities, manipulating the weekly maintenance plan to meet production and workshop priorities, as well as ensuring all parts and technical information is available for planned stoppages. 7 days on, 7 days off (dayshift only) roster allowing for that work/life balance.

This position requires knowledge of mobile plant maintenance, mobile plant maintenance strategies and the ability to navigate the CMMS, specifically, Pronto. If you have the skills and experience, apply today!

Role requirements:

  • Monitor planned maintenance service schedule and manipulate short term plan to maintain service accuracy
  • Upload all approved backlogs into the CMMS (Pronto) ensuring accuracy and correctness of entry
  • Work closely with the Execution team to ensure budgeted numbers of equipment type are available for Operations
  • Schedule repairs and servicing of all nominated fixed plant, support and workshop equipment ensuring minimal down time and prioritisation in accordance with business requirements and strategy
  • Identify and submit appropriate suggestions for additions and/or changes to maintenance strategies via the strategy change request process
  • Monitor and review the standard of closed work orders ensuring correct data into the CMMS (Pronto) to track maintenance history

Qualifications
  • Preferable Trade Certified with minimum 4 years post trade experience
  • Full and current Drivers Licence, competent driving manual vehicles
  • Immediate work rights/ NZ Visa will be required for this position

Experience:

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage fluctuating workloads and prioritise accordingly
  • Prior experience in a Leading Hand or Supervision role
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude on large construction and mining equipment with the ability to absorb technical information quickly
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suit of programs)
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills to enable effective resolution of issues within the workplace
  • Previous experience with Pronto or similar CMMS applications (desirable)
  • Hands on familiarisation with Caterpillar and Hitachi products (desirable)
