The summary of the duties you are required to perform are as follows: Operate excavator and other heavy equipment to perform earthmoving and site preparation tasks. Excavate trenches, foundations, and other areas per project specifications and blueprints. Load and move materials such as dirt, rock, and debris. Inspect equipment daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues. Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures to prevent accidents and equipment damage. Communicate with site supervisors and other workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes. Assist with equipment maintenance and cleaning when required. Adhere to project timelines and work schedules. Drive truck when required Check the condition of the load and that it is secure. Make deliveries or pick up goods and most importantly keep a logbook of the hours you work. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Any other duties assigned by the employer
