About the role | Ko te mahi nei
The Inspections Support team is responsible for supporting the building inspection function and we need an outstanding administrator to deliver effective, timely scheduling for the customers and our inspectors, and provide first-class administrative support to manage inspection and construction documentation. You will communicate with customers via phone, email, and letters, and will carry out data entry and file updates, with the flexibility to deal with any ad-hoc service needs.

Critical to your success will be your strong customer service and attention to detail. You'll be adept at solving problems, using your initiative to think of solutions and sharing relevant information with your team. Your experience will include:
- At least 3 years in an office administration or call centre role.
- Skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Working with databases, with formal training or equivalent experience.
- Experience with building services would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Hours of work - 37.5 - 40 hours per week
Position - Permanent
Location - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $67,635 to $75,150 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
