IMG Engineering Ltd – East Tāmaki, Auckland

We're on the lookout for a Hydraulic Technician or a skilled Fitter & Turner / Mechanic with hydraulic experience to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent role with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Pay Rate: $38.00 - $44.00 per hour (depending on skills and experience) + vehicle for work purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, including valves, cylinders, and pumps.
  
• Perform workshop and on-site servicing and maintenance.
• Carry out major overhauls of hydraulically powered machinery.
• Maintain and install marine equipment and systems.
• Read, interpret, and apply technical schematics and drawings.
• Work to strict safety and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade qualification in Fitting & Turning or Mechanics (or equivalent).
  
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the hydraulics industry, including diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, with proven field and client-facing experience.
• At least 2 years' experience in manufacturing hydraulic tube for new installation or as per sample.
• Proven ability to read, interpret, and apply hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.

Additional Information

• Location: East Tāmaki, Auckland (work at client sites across the region).
  
• Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
