  • What qualifications should you have?
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting

  • Experience in personal care/homemaking is required.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • You need a state ID/valid license and reliable transportation, our clients depend on us!

  • Responsibilities
  • Personal Care as needed
  • A successful Home Health-care Aide provides personal care services under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse
  • Ability to follow a care plan
  • Meal preparation/feeding
  • Laundry
  • Light Housekeeping
  • Knows and follows infection control policies including proper hand washing techniques.
  • Reports any observed or reported changes in the client’s condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse.
  • Documents care provided and completes the forms required for the client’s records. Completes the appropriate records to document cares given and pertinent observations.
  • Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following agency guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the Supervisor/Case Manager.
  • Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Does not use equipment until orientation has been provided. Notifies supervisor of educational needs.
  • Communicates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences, as requested.
  • Treats patients and families with respect. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Accepts and fulfills assignments with the agency. Exercise good judgment in accepting assignments.
  • Participates in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements. Identifies learning needs to agency supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary
  • Qualifications
  • Meet the training and/or certification requirements of the state in which the home health aide services are being provided. This includes specifications of contracted agencies for which services are being provided.
  • Active and verifiable State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or Certified Nursing Assistant CNA certification in applicable state OR 1 year of supervised, verifiable experience within the last 3 years.
  • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a passion for caring for those in need.
  • Current driver’s license, good driving record, and/or reliable transportation is required.
  • 1 + years of experience is highly preferred.
  • Frequent standing walking, stopping/bending infrequent squatting/kneeling and balancing
  • Weight handled: push, force required: 30 - 50 lbs (at times)
