Join us as Grader Operator in our Timaru Maintenance Team! We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Timaru Maintenance Team as a Grader Operator. In this role you will be the part of a small grader operation team on the Timaru District Council Road Maintenance Contract which covers 760kms of local roads. If you have a willingness to learn and have a passion for operating machinery, we can help provide the training necessary to get you up to scratch. In addition to the above you will: Lead Maintenance grading for the TDC Road Maintenance Contract. Complete inspections of unsealed roads, potholing and snow clearing. Operate with a high attention to detail to ensure accurate recording and reporting. Operate the grader to shape metal build up sites and granular overlay sites. Assist with general maintenance activities as required. We’re looking for someone with: Full Class 2 Licence and WR Endorsements. Previous experience operating graders is advantageous. Proven experience meeting productivity targets. Great interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work unsupervised as well as work in with the team.
