A retention-focused email marketing agency working with lifestyle ecommerce brands is looking for a part-time Email Marketing Strategist to support client strategy development, campaign planning, and message briefs. We serve DTC brands across fashion, beauty, gifting, and lifestyle. This role is for someone who thinks strategically and can execute lightly when needed. 💼 Role Overview You will shape the retention strategy for multiple ecommerce brands, working alongside our founder and creative team. 1. Strategy Development • Build/refine lifecycle strategies for new clients (flows, offers, messaging, customer journeys). • Analyse product, audience, brand, and competitors to identify opportunities. • Propose meaningful A/B tests and strategic improvements. 2. Campaign Planning • Plan clear, structured 4–5 week campaign calendars. • Define campaign themes, angles, and sequencing. • Balance revenue-driving promotions with brand-building storytelling. • Add light rationale for each campaign so the team understands the objective. 3. Message Briefs • Create simple, strategic briefs for copywriters and designers. • Identify the key message, offer (if any), content direction, and assets required. • Ensure every campaign has a strategic purpose, not just “send an email.” 4. Performance Insight • Review monthly analytics (Klaviyo + Shopify). • Highlight insights, gaps, wins, and optimisation opportunities. • Recommend tests for flows, forms, and creative. 💬 Bonus Skills (Highly Valued) Not required but big advantage if you can also: • Write solid email copy (short-form performance copy). • Do light email design in Figma or similar. • Build simple emails inside Klaviyo when needed. These skills reduce turnaround time and allow quick iteration. 🧠 What We’re Looking For Must have: • Strong Klaviyo strategy experience (segmentation, flows, optimisation). • Deep understanding of DTC ecommerce (fashion/beauty ideal). • Ability to turn insights into actionable creative direction. • Clear communication + high judgement. • Comfortable working async and managing deliverables. Nice to have: • CRO knowledge • Offer strategy experience • Familiarity with lifestyle retail brands ⏱ Engagement Structure Start hourly (10–15 hours/week cap) during onboarding and calibration.
