  • Join us to nurture curiosity, build strong relationships, and create meaningful learning experiences that set our tamariki up for lifelong success. We are on the lookout for a passionate, Registered Kaiako to join our warm, community-minded team at Busy Bees Taupō. This is a space where every kaiako is supported to lead with heart, and every day is an opportunity to make a lasting impact. About us: At Busy Bees Taupō, we pride ourselves on being a heart-centered professional environment where partnership with whānau is our anchor. You will join a collaborative team that values play and uses beautiful, intentional provocations to spark critical thinking. Our centre features specialized nursery and preschool rooms, but we truly value our tuakana-teina interactions, where you’ll facilitate wonderful teaching moments across different ages. We are a centre that deeply embraces biculturalism and inclusion - celebrating everything from Matariki and kapa haka evenings to Chinese New Year and Diwali - ensuring every culture is seen and valued. As part of the wider Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, you’ll be backed by a national network that empowers you to learn, lead, and thrive in your professional craft. About you: You’re an energetic, caring kaiako with NZ teacher registration (ECE or Primary) and a strong grasp of Te Whāriki. You plan, assess, and review confidently (e.g. learning stories/Storypark), creating engaging, play-based environments and provocations that spark curiosity. Warm, clear communication helps you build responsive relationships with tamariki, whānau, and your team, and you keep supervision and safety tight. You value bicultural practice, weave simple te reo Māori into everyday moments, and champion inclusion. Reflective and growth-minded, you use evidence to lift outcomes; strengths in behaviour guidance, additional needs, or mentoring are a bonus. Why you’ll love working here: Full Pay Parity Monthly staff wellbeing budget + access to EAP Comprehensive induction, regular mentoring, and relevant PLD Discounted childcare First Aid certification provided + annual flu vaccination Uniform provided Clear growth pathways and ongoing professional development We welcome experienced and emerging kaiako.
