You'll support work across our maintenance contracts and wider projects for mainly south of Auckland, which covers work across pavements, kerb and channel and asphalt. You will be a skilled and safety conscious Excavator Operator joining a dedicated and hardworking construction team performing skilled duties, mainly as an operator but as part of driving the completion and adhering to the programme - you will also perform labouring duties such as concrete pours, finishing and laying asphalt when needed. In addition to the above you will: Operate excavators to perform digging, trenching, loading, and grading tasks as directed Locate service using the CATGeny (Utility locator) Be confident and competent in performing excavating per the specifications Conduct reinstatement of patches in the carriageways Carry out routine machine inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs Maintain accurate daily logs of operations, including fuel usage, hours worked, and incidents Complete operating towards and physical formwork and asphalt reinstatement duties for footpaths, driveways, kerbs and panel replacement This role will be a Full Time, Permanent position with a minimum guarantee of 40 hours per week. The hourly rate is between $27.00 – $35.19 per hour. The official title for this position will be a Driver Operator.
