About us:

We are looking for experienced Cook with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to join our team for full time permanent.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

We are looking for cook who will be mainly responsible to prepare Indian snacks, Naan bread, Paratha, Tikka, Tandoori platter, Tandoori chutney, Indian curries and other Indian cuisine items at our place located in Auckland.

Job Description as below but not limited to:

· Processing and preparing daily menu order of Indian curries, snacks, Indian sweets and food.

· Maintaining international standards of quality, taste and presentation of each item as set out by international franchising company.

· Ordering, controlling and maintaining minimum inventory stock.

· Keeping update and negotiating prices of inventory items for consumption.

· Interacting with suppliers and important hospitality customers.

· Assessing preparation methods and calculating food cost.

· Working out and assessing profitability of food production.

· Training of new staff, if applicable.

· Maintaining kitchen equipment and tools in perfect working condition.

· Maintaining high standards of personal and work place hygiene.

· Ensuring compliance of health and safety regulations. Any other duty given by the Manager.

Key Requirements:

· Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

· Open to learning and development

· Reliable and hardworking.

· Experience in North Indian, and South Indian dishes and a good hand on Tandoor and Curry Section is preferred.

Schedule:

· Monday to Friday

· Weekend availability.

Ability to commute/relocate:

· Auckland City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

We open 7 days a week until late, weekend shifts are also required. Ideal candidate will be having 30-40 hours weekly work. This position type is Full-time permanent.
