• Manage and improve highly available AWS environments, including EC2, RDS, VPC, and S3.
• Maintain and deploy infrastructure using tools like AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Support PostgreSQL administration, including maintenance, performance tuning, and geospatial extensions (PostGIS).
• Implement security best practices across AWS IAM, network isolation, and security groups.
• Build and support automated pipelines using GitHub and Python.
• Monitor AWS cost considerations and support cross-region disaster recovery practices.

• Proven ability to manage core services (EC2, S3, VPC) using (or willing to learn) AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, implementing CI/CD, and Python scripting for automation
• Experience in PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning and exposure to geospatial extensions like PostGIS is highly regarded.
• Experience with (or interest in) supporting AWS AppStream and Workspace environments for application delivery
• Familiarity with geospatial software systems (e.g., ESRI, QGIS, CARIS) and an interest in applying cloud solutions to hydrographic or maritime domains.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment with an understanding of ITIL practices and structured service management.
• A collaborative, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage your own workload and communicate technical roadmaps to diverse stakeholders.
