  • Imagine leading the architectural vision that shapes how Contact Energy powers Aotearoa’s future. As our Chapter Lead – Enterprise Architecture, you’ll be at the heart of our technology transformation, guiding a passionate team and influencing decisions that ripple across the business.
  • You’ll work alongside innovative thinkers in our Technology Innovation team, collaborating with business and technology leaders to design solutions that really matter.   • Develop and roll out an enterprise architecture strategy that lines up with our business goals.
  • Work closely with technology and business leaders to make sure our solutions fit real-life needs.
  • Set chapter goals and performance expectations; mentor, coach, and help the team grow their craft.
  • Lead the way in choosing platforms, tools, and integration approaches to keep us agile and compatible.
  • Embed technical governance, risk management, operational readiness, and collaboration across teams.

  • You’re a strategic thinker and people leader, passionate about shaping the future of technology and architecture. You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy mentoring others, and bring a growth mindset to everything you do.

We’re ideally looking for

  • Led technical teams and people before, with at least five years’ experience in a similar role
  • You know enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and roadmaps inside and out
  • Analytical skills that shine when it comes to integration and designing smart solutions
  • You’re a clear communicator who builds strong relationships across both business and tech teams
  • Hands-on experience using Agile methods like Scrum, Kanban, and Lean
  • You’re curious and love keeping up with the latest in tech
  • You’re inclusive, collaborative, and know how to bring people together and inspire them
  • You’re comfortable when things aren’t set in stone and you know how to lead positive change
  • Extra points if you’ve worked in the energy, internet service, or telco industries
  • It’s handy if you understand the New Zealand electricity and gas markets
  • Experience with ITIL processes and best practices is a plus
