- About the role
- We are on the lookout for a Calibration Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing lab and production environment, supporting multiple sites while utilising your calibration expertise.
- You’ll be responsible for ensuring our lab and plant instruments are calibrated, serviced, and maintained to the highest standard, supporting our operations across the business. We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and can hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities include
- Ensure all laboratory and plant testing equipment is calibrated, serviced and maintained to required standards.
- Ensure plant standardisation equipment (FOSS) is calibrated accurately to allow product to meet specification limits.
- Troubleshoot calibration issues for both in-process and final product analysis.
- Meet IANZ accreditation requirements of the laboratory.
- Maintain aspects of a functioning laboratory operation i.e. - building and facility management.
- Write and maintain current and accurate SOPs, test and training records.
- Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes
- A tertiary education in Science or Technology or equivalent preferred.
- Ideally previous experience in calibration of laboratory equipment and In-Process plant instrument calibration (e.g. FOSS - FTIR, NIR).
- Strong understanding of lab accreditation standards (e.g. IANZ).
- Familiarity with hygiene practice in a food or dairy industry environment.
- Ability to communicate well to a variety of stakeholders.
- Adaptability and ability to manage changing priorities.
- Mechanically minded with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage across teams.
