Job Title: Building Associate

Pay Rate: NZD $35–$40 per hour
Hours: 32–40 hours per week
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years relevant work experience

Qualification Required: Level 4 qualification

Job Purpose:

The Building Associate is responsible for supervising construction sites, coordinating human resources, and managing materials to ensure that construction projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role ensures compliance with building codes, health and safety standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities: Core Duty

• Supervise construction sites

Oversee on-site activities, monitor work progress, and ensure adherence to project timelines and standards.

• Organise and coordinate human resources

Allocate tasks to tradespeople, subcontractors, and staff; manage workforce scheduling to ensure efficiency.

• Coordinate materials

Ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and tools; maintain inventory and minimise delays due to shortages.

• Safety compliance

Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations; conduct safety briefings and inspections.

• Quality control

Monitor work quality, identify defects, and ensure standards are maintained throughout the project.

• Liaison

Communicate with managers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to coordinate work activities.

• Documentation & reporting

Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.
