About the role - Mō te tūranga This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive operational excellence, lead a high-performing team, and ensure outstanding customer service. Reporting to the Area Manager, your Key Responsibilities include: Take full ownership of branch financial performance, including P&L, EBIT, cost control, and forecasting. Lead a customer-focused team, working closely with customers and sales to deliver outstanding service. Strategically plan people, resources, and transport to achieve business goals. Inspire and develop your team, fostering a culture of growth and high performance. Drive growth, efficiency, and align the team with the evolving needs of the business. Manage key metrics: utilisation, claims, DIFOT, safety, and customer service. Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Collaborate with national and regional teams for shared success. What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga? You’re a proven people leader who thrives in fast-paced environments. You’re confident in making decisions and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves when required. Additionally, you will bring: 5+ years' experience in an operational leadership role (transport, logistics or similar) Proven capability with planning and delivering to that plan Excellent communication skills A positive and proactive approach to problem solving.
