  • Project Controller/Assistant Project Manager Location: Wellington Delivering projects with Beca Water Water is a valuable commodity. New and renewed infrastructure are needed to deliver water to communities, manage stormwater and safely treat and dispose of wastewater. For almost 50 years Beca has been doing just that; providing design services and strategic advice for our clients and developing long-term, sustainable water and wastewater solutions for communities across the globe. The Central Water and Industrial team deliver multiple large-scale projects for municipal and industrial clients. To continue to deliver these projects on time and on budget we are looking for a Project Controller to join our Wellington-based water team. Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The role will see you providing project controls and programme management support to a team of Project Managers and Directors working on multiple projects across the Central region. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining systems and processes that support the successful delivery of these projects. You will also be responsible for: • Coordination of project financial reports and monitoring time inputs from multi-disciplinary teams • Checking that project managers are informed about project timelines and coordinating inputs from different disciplines • Participating professionally and enthusiastically within the project team and provide expertise and support as required • Building knowledge of client and project processes that will enable a collaborative and successful project environment Ko wai koe | About you You will have a background in project controls or administration along with experience with document management and project management systems, applications and financial tools. Ideally, you have experience in a consulting environment and a solid understanding of the construction lifecycle but, more importantly, you'll have an impressive ability to proactively communicate with a large and diverse team and work alongside technical experts and project managers alike. The Central Water and Industrial team have multiple long-term projects on the go, and you will have the chance to become immediately involved and start making a positive and valuable difference to our business.
