• We have an opening for an Assistant Accountant or Senior Accounts Administrator to join our collaborative finance team. Based in Wanaka, you’ll support our global finance operations (with offices in NZ, Austria, and Canada) and be an energetic, hands-on part of our busy team. This is a role where initiative, continuous improvement, and a passion for accuracy are valued.
• What you’ll be doing

You’ll be part of a team delivering core accounting services to the business, including

• Accounts Receivable: ensure timely invoicing and collection and maintain excellent credit control practices across all regions.
• Accounts Payable: process supplier invoices, obtain approvals and prepare payment runs.
• Month-end and Year-end: bank, balance sheet, and clearing account reconciliations. Prepare month-end and year-end journals, reconciliations, workpapers and reports.
• Budgeting and Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial information to support decision-making across the business. Assist with preparing departmental budgets and providing accurate reporting to track progress and highlight variances.
• Inventory Accounting: Support inventory accuracy through regular stock reconciliations, monitor movements, identify discrepancies, and work with operational teams to resolve issues. Provide accurate inventory reporting to ensure reliable financial records.
• You’re organised, reliable, and love working with numbers and people. You notice when something doesn’t balance, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in creating perfectly reconciled, easy-to-understand reports. You thrive in a supportive, hands-on team and are looking for a role where you can grow with the business.

What you'll bring

• A sound understanding of accounting principles
• A relevant accounting or finance qualification (or desire to work toward one)
• 2–4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or accounts administration
• Experience with accounting systems (ERP exposure advantageous)
• Strong Excel skills
• A proactive, energetic, and solutions-focused approach
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Professionalism, reliability, and discretion with confidential information
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well across teams
• You must have a valid NZ work visa. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
• We'll all be taking some time out over the Christmas/New Year break, so responses may be delayed through this period.
