As the Department Manager, you'll take the reins of daily operations in one of NZ’s most advanced facilities, driving innovation, technology, and excellence that sets the standard for roadworks in the region. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a dedicated asphalt plant team, delivering safe, high-quality, and efficient production. Oversee all plant operations: scheduling, maintenance, performance, and productivity. Champion Fulton Hogan’s safety culture, ensuring compliance at every level. Build strong relationships with staff, contractors, and clients. Promote continuous improvement in production processes and quality standards. Effectively manage budgets, resources, and departmental reporting. Drive and support the development of best-practice initiatives. About You We’re on the lookout for someone who is results-driven, collaborative, and naturally proactive. You’ll have proven experience leading teams in the asphalt, quarrying, or construction materials industries, and a solid understanding of plant operations. You will also have: Excellent communication and organisational skills. Commitment to health, safety and quality in every task. Relevant tertiary qualification or trade background advantageous.
